FAQ
Which curriculum does Lycée National follow?+
The Lebanese national curriculum, taught in the French or the English section. The school prepares students for the four official certificates: Brevet, General Sciences, Life Sciences, Sociology & Economics. It offers neither the French baccalaureate nor the IB.
What is the difference between the French and English sections?+
The official curriculum is the same; what changes is the language in which sciences and mathematics are taught. The English section is the larger today — up to nine divisions per grade against three on the French side — while the French section continues into the International Francophone Section.
When does registration open?+
For 2026-2027 the school opened registration for new and returning students in January 2026, with an “Early Admissions” phase announced in May.

Do students enter university without an examination?+
The school states that the credibility of its grades opens Lebanon’s leading universities to its students without an entrance examination, citing Université Saint-Joseph as the example. Seven Lebanese universities formalised partnerships in 2026.
